Individual Child Counseling/Therapy

Josie Bridges, LCSW offers individual counseling/therapy services for children ages 2-13 years old. She takes a trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive approach with all of her pediatric patients, regardless of their histories.

Some childhood concerns and conditions she treats include the following:

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Developmental Trauma, and other trauma/stressor-related disorders

Family Counseling/Therapy

Family and Parent-Child Relational Interventions can be intertwined into individual child sessions as needed; however, if you have a specific concern related to your family dynamic, she can also provide tailored treatment services for that.

Please note: Josie Bridges, LCSW does not provide court-ordered, forensic, or custody-related services, such as custody evaluations or services for the purpose of testimony in legal proceedings. Please seek a forensic or custody evaluation specialist for these services. If there is shared custody, there must be an up-to-date copy of the formal custody agreement on file, as well as written consent for treatment from both legal guardians for treatment to begin. Josie Bridges, LCSW is not currently accepting new minor clients whose guardians are in open, ongoing custody negotiations.

What does the beginning of my child's therapy look like?

What should I expect? How are appointments structured?

Standard initial treatment plans generally prescribe weekly therapy sessions, depending on the nature and severity of the identified concerns and symptoms. These are typically scheduled on a recurring weekly basis. Appointments are generally scheduled on the hour and last 50 minutes, which may include caregiver check-in prior to individual work with the child and caregiver check-out/debrief after individual work with the child. Appointments are scheduled Monday through Thursday, and Josie's standard office hours are 9 am-5 pm.

A typical starting approach to treatment includes:

a) an initial intake evaluation with at least 1 guardian and the child,
b) an average of 2-3 rapport building and/or assessment sessions with the child, followed by
c) the development of the treatment plan and review of the results from the assessment and observation sessions and
d) prescribed regular, recurring treatment sessions using the modalities, interventions, and goals outlined in the treatment plan.

Re-evaluations to monitor progress will be completed periodically throughout treatment and prescribed with annual treatment plan progress updates.

After significant and maintained progress toward the treatment goals, sessions are generally reduced to a biweekly, monthly, and as needed (PRN) schedule structure.

Standard Fees

Treatment services with Josie Bridges, LCSW are currently private pay, out of network only, due at the time of service. Josie Bridges, LCSW is not able to accept insurance for services at this time. Intake ("Psychiatric Diagnositc Evaluation") - CPT Code: 90791 - Private Pay Cost: $150
Regular 50-minute Individual Child Therapy Session - CPT Code: 90834 - Private Pay Cost: $125
Regular 50-minute Family Therapy Session - CPT Code: 90846/90847 - Private Pay Cost: $150
